General Information


What is the Tour de Corgi?

The Tour de Corgi is an annual Corgi meet-up, costume contest, and carnival parade through Old Town Fort Collins, Colorado. Founded in 2014, it has grown into a beloved community event now in its 12th year — bringing together corgi families, fans, and the general public for a fun-filled day of wagging tails and creative costumes.

When and where is the 2026 event?

The 12th Annual Tour de Corgi takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Civic Center Park in Old Town Fort Collins, Colorado. The parade winds through the streets of Old Town and wraps up by 1:00 p.m.

Who can attend?

Everyone is welcome! The public is invited to visit Civic Center Park and enjoy the dog-related vendor booths free of charge. Adults who wish to participate in the parade or costume contest must have a wristband. Children under 5 are free.

Which charities does Tour de Corgi benefit?

Proceeds from the 2026 event benefit three wonderful organizations: 4 Paws Pet Pantry, Colorado Corgis and Friends Rescue, and Bandit’s K9Care.

Registration & Wristbands


Do I need a wristband?

All adults who wish to participate in the parade or costume contest must have a wristband. Spectators and members of the public visiting the vendor booths do not need one.

How much does a wristband cost?

Wristbands are $5.00 each. Children under 5 are free. Wristbands are available for pre-order online at tourdecorgi.org and will also be sold on the day of the event (supplies permitting).

How do I register in advance?

Visit tourdecorgi.org and purchase your wristband online. Your email confirmation serves as your ticket — bring a printed copy or show it on your phone at check-in on the day of the event.

Is there a pre-event registration opportunity?

Yes! There is a Registration Event on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Visit Fort Collins. This is a great way to pick up your wristband the night before.

Will I receive my wristband in the mail?

Unfortunately, we are unable to drop-ship wristbands. Wristbands must be picked up in person at the pre-event or event.

Is the event refundable if it rains?

No — the Tour de Corgi is a rain-or-shine event, and wristband registrations are non-refundable.


Event Schedule


What is the schedule for Saturday, October 3?

8:00 a.m. — Vendor set-up begins
9:00 a.m. — Registration, corgi meet-up & vendor booths open
10:00 a.m. — Costume Contest begins
12:00 p.m. — Parade begins at Civic Center Park
1:00 p.m. — Event ends

Is there anything happening on Friday, October 2?

Yes! There is a pre-event Registration Night at Visit Fort Collins from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 2. This is a great opportunity to get your wristbands early and connect with fellow corgi lovers.


Costume Contest


How does the Costume Contest work?

The Costume Contest kicks off at 10:00 a.m. at Civic Center Park. Participants line up by category and show off their creative costumes in front of judges and a live audience. A DJ, MC’s, photographer, and videographer are all on-site to capture the fun.

What are the costume contest categories?

Categories include: Completely Creative, Purdiest, Baddest to the Bone, Funniest Furry, Greatest Group, Best themed individual, and Best themed group. Line-ups for each category begin at staggered times starting at 9:50 a.m.

Do I need a wristband to enter the costume contest?

Yes — all adult participants in the costume contest must have a wristband.

Do corgis need to be in costume?

Participation in the costume contest is optional. All corgis and their humans are welcome to join the parade whether costumed or not!


The Parade


What is the parade route?

The parade begins at Civic Center Park at noon and winds through Old Town Fort Collins. It exits the park heading north and crosses College Ave. at LaPorte Ave., proceeds down the east side of College Ave., circles through Old Town Square, heads south, then crosses Mountain Ave. and returns to Civic Center Park via Howes Street.

Are there restaurants along the route where we can watch?

Absolutely! Several patio restaurants are located along the route, including Starbucks, Bean Cycle, The Kitchen, Lucky Joe’s, Coopersmith’s (north and south patios), Bondi Beach Bar, Ben & Jerry’s, and more.

Can non-corgi dogs participate in the parade?

The Tour de Corgi is primarily a corgi event, but corgi breeds and siblings are allowed.


Merchandise & Vendors


Can I buy Tour de Corgi merchandise?

Yes! Official Tour de Corgi t-shirts, stickers, and other merch are available at tourdecorgi.org. To ensure timely delivery, pre-order by Sunday, September 20, 2026. A limited supply will also be available on the day of the event.

What if some of my Merch is missing from the package?

Don’t immediately panic. Merchandise may be printed and shipped from different locations.

How can I become a vendor or sponsor?

Vendor and sponsor registration is available at tourdecorgi.org. The last day to register as a vendor or sponsor is Sunday, September 27, 2026. Vendor set-up on the day of the event begins at 8:00 a.m.
